Firm history: Julie Butler founded the practice in 1986 from the family farmhouse in Bramdean, opened the Alresford office in 1992.

Extensive experience across all aspects of rural businesses with focus on Farming & Equine Department. Assists rural entities and individuals with day-to-day accountancy and taxation, HMRC enquiries, and complex farm tax enquiries for other accountants and solicitors. Grew up on the family farm in Bramdean with a passion for horses. Enjoys obstacle course racing and running events.

    Joined Butler & Co Tax Team in 2012, progressed to Tax Director in the Farm & Equine Department. Member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), holds a Master's Degree from the University of Bristol, and has achieved Certificate in Probate and Estate Administration. Grew up surrounded by horses on the family farm and continues to ride. Specialises in Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax, probate matters and deceased estates, and structuring equine businesses for tax efficiency.
